Guta's bridal shower known as a "Kitchen Tea" with all the gifts being for the kitchen. I'd never been to any type of bridal shower - American or Brazilian - and thought the games were rather interesting.
Hoje foi o chá da cozinha da Guta com todos os presentes para a cozinha. Em inglês, chamamos de "banho de noiva". Eu nunca estive em nenhum tipo de "banho de noiva" - americano ou brasileiro - e pensei que os jogos eram bastante interessantes.
Manira also had some nice friends, especially Marcia and her brother Renato.

I was still plagued by accusations of being too quiet. I spoke to Renato for an hour. Then their dad for another hour. Then we got in the car and I was listening to the music for a couple minutes and they told me I was so quiet. Or when Suzi would introduce me to someone and they'd ask her if I spoke Portuguese and she's say, "very well" but they'd still address all their questions about me to Suzi and then say I was quiet.
Eu ainda estava atormentada por acusações de estar muita quieta. Falei com Renato por uma hora. Então, seu pai, por mais uma hora. Então entramos no carro e eu estava ouvindo a música por alguns minutos e eles me disseram que eu estava tão quieta. Ou quando Suzi me apresentaria a alguém e eles perguntariam se eu falava português e ela diz "muito bem", mas eles ainda direitarem todas as perguntas sobre mim a Suzi e depois disseram que eu estava quieta.
